Talk summary

A concept in the professional world that is quickly becoming outdated is the ‘career path’ -- an idea that is focused on achieving the goals of a certain profession rather than individualized personality development. In a changing landscape, how can we discover our true identity, our full potential, and explore possible selves that could be achieved? Where do we begin to understand the stages of personality development? In this workshop, Juliet Kasko, Director at CxO will be talking about making the transition from rigid ‘career paths’ to individually-tailored sequences of experiences and establishing ‘portfolio careers’, finding reward from work experiences, and from the perspective of employers, explore the risks and benefits of hiring people with the required skills for a new role and career transition.
