How might we turn every smartphone into a personal bank branch? How might we make daily money choices easier, fun and more rewarding with less worry, regrets, FOMO and FOGS? How might we unleash the power of technology and innovation so that people can easily uncover and expand the opportunities they have? These are the questions that get the best of my blood sweat and tears at Xinja, where we are working on building a for purpose, for profit, for mobile bank, or 'neobank'. We're not a bank yet, but we’re working tirelessly on it!
At Xinja I have the privilege of combining my passions for strategy, technology and creating innovative customer experiences to make life better - lower maintenance, less stressful and more rewarding for people when it comes to dealing with money.
Xinja provides a blank digital canvas from which anything is possible; a canvas free from legacy thinking, silos, politics, clunky IT, manual processes, conflicting KPIs, and intractable resistance to change, all of which can be barriers to being a customer experience led organisation.
We start with cultural obsession with customer empathy that gets us to the heart of the complexity and workarounds that people are dealing with. We then sprinkle on some Xinja magic, imagination and scientific curiosity about what data and technology could make possible.
We prototype and get creative; iterate and learn; and rinse and repeat: Until we get to a minimum lovable experience that works. Then we make it robust and reliable. Finally, we make those experiences accessible to as many people as possible for a little cost as possible, no cost even.
Then come the moments of truth - seeing how people integrate those experience into their everyday lives in personally meaningful ways. It's all about the moments.
How do I know we’re doing our job right? When the Xinja experience leaves people inspired (and inspiring others!) by the better lives they’ve created for themselves and their loved ones.
