A Guardian columnist called privacy "both viciously complex and floatingly abstract". That's an environment where I'm very comfortable operating. I've had almost two decades of experience navigating complicated global privacy/data protection waters for multinational high-tech companies. My focus on privacy strategy - the programmes, products and processes that help companies manage multiple privacy stakeholders in a risk-aware but responsible way - has ensured that the brands I've represented nurture and retain strong privacy reputations.
It's not just my long-standing familiarity with the details of data protection laws around the world that's made my career what it is. I've got a solid grounding in technology and work well with developers, while being equally able to brief executives and rally support for creative new programmes that meet privacy and business goals. I'm a strong communicator, comfortable with ambiguity and short deadlines, quick-thinking and able to come up with efficient and pragmatic solutions to complex problems.
