Ben Richardson is a futurist, international speaker, and technology leader with a passion for bleeding edge technologies including Healthtech (particularly mental health), Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning (ML), Blockchain & Cryptocurrency, and Aerospace Technology
Ben is currently the President & Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Hubba, the largest connected ecosystem of entrepreneurs, startups, and entrepreneurs in Thailand. The company has 60+ employees, three subsidiaries, and a variety of ambitious local and international expansions plans
Prior to Hubba, Ben commanded an eight-figure budget as the CTO of Innowell, one of the world’s most progressive, technology focussed organisations in the field of mental health with the backing of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), The University of Sydney, and the Australian Federal Government via a $33m commitment
At Innowell, Ben built a large agile product development group, was responsible for Innowell’s technology product strategy and roadmap, and met key leaders including Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to discuss the opportunities that technology can bring to the mental health sector
Prior to Innowell, Ben built a 12-person strong product development group in PwC that self-disrupted the organisation by automating the delivery of PwC’s expertise at scale via web & mobile SaaS products. Ben’s products are renowned across the global PwC network and have received both internal (within PwC) and external accolades
Being an avid entrepreneur, Ben has founded a variety of companies, has experienced first hand both extremes of success and failure and along the way has successfully raised capital, exited a business via an acquisition, and received a variety of accolades including creating a startup that ranked top 10 in Australian nationally in 2013
Ben graduated with honours in Aerospace Engineering from RMIT University in Melbourne
