I am a Partner at PwC and lead the Telecom, Media and Tech industry across Australia, NZ and SE Asia. I have 28 years’ experience and have also worked at Vodafone Group and IBM. I specialise at the intersect of technology, society and industry on issues such as IoT and 5G. I have advised on fixed, mobile and internet sector reform and liberalisation in over 50 countries, supported telco and internet businesses in global and regional expansion and have held major operational roles with wide responsibilities. I have worked in 84 countries, lived in 7 and speak 6 languages.
I served as Myanmar's national telecommunications adviser in 2015. I serve on the advisory board of OnDeviceResearch (UK), as Board Chair at mPower which is an enterprise in Bangladesh using digital and mobile technology to deliver social services to mass markets and Qlue, an Indonesian company providing technology for smart cities. I advise the GSMA in IoT, digital, cities and healthcare, and have been a Ministerial Programme chair at Mobile World Congress the past six years. I have advised the UN Broadband Commission on encouraging policies toward faster digitalization. I previously managed PwC's TMT practice in India, Indonesia and SE Asia and was seconded to the firm's World Bank unit in Washington, D.C. I write for Forbes and occasionally the FT for business.
