Karen Lurati is the owner of her own retail consultancy business Remarketable that focuses on providing marketing solutions and education within the Retail sector. She specialises in fashion retailers large and small and the challenges within that industry especially multi-channel.
She has contracted her services as an ongoing lecturer for the last 18 years within the retail, fashion and marketing departments for RMIT, Monash and Deakin Universities as well as recently adding the Melbourne School of Fashion to her folio of clients. Additionally she has written and facilitated many short courses within Buying and Marketing for large and small retailers for the Australian Retailers Association for the last 18 years. Recently she was involved in the research and now facilitator for the one and only Retail Merchandising Diploma in Australia for Buyers and Planners
Prior to being involved in this, her Buying and merchandising skills were developed as a Merchandise Buyer for the Coles-Myer Group for 8 years within the Department stores/Catalogue/Online/Discount and Supermarket organisations.
Karen is MBA and B.Bus (Marketing) qualified and also an associate (CPM) member of the Australian Marketing Institute and is asked to speak at industry events and conferences within the retail sector.
