I am a leading strategist with over 15 years’ experience in strategy, complemented by a professional background in governance and strategic marketing, where I have led transformations to deliver customer-centricity and a data-driven approach to business performance. I am proficient in agile, scrum, design thinking and traditional business frameworks.
I founded Syneka, a strategic consultancy in 2013 and successfully grew this business. We have worked with clients to successfully launch new products, strengthen value propositions and outmanoeuvre competitors.
Prior to Syneka I was employed as the Head of Strategy and Marketing at a large not-for-profit organisation and worked as Marketing Manager for a prominent social enterprise, as well as marketing roles for a multinational company and technology provider.
I am nearing the completion of my Executive MBA having received a High Distinction average, reinforcing my business experience with academic credentials.
My expertise is shared with the next generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs as a lecturer at Kaplan Business School. I have taught undergraduate and MBA subjects in marketing and innovation. I continually receive positive feedback from students as I support their education and professional development.
I am also a former Councillor and Mayor for Maroondah City Council. In 2010 I was elected Mayor and secured commitments to redevelop Ringwood Station into an accessible and safe transport interchange, spurring the transformation of Ringwood into a vibrant community and commercial hub.
As Mayor, I reversed 12 years of budget deficits and strengthened governance processes so Council could reinvest in much-needed community facilities. The result was the redevelopment of Ringwood Aquatic Centre and a newly developed North Ringwood Community House.
